Bizarre idea for a thread, but I think it could work. Basically you have to pick an album and show that it is a 21st Century version of somthing from the 20th Century and then a reason. I'll Start:

The Go! Team - Thunder, Lighting, Strike...

...is like a 21st Century...

...Primal Scream - Screamadelica!


Why?: They are both like MDMA for the ears, they are like a rave party with no drugs. They both have happy tunes and remixes of former tunes stuck in there.

is like a 21st Century...

anything by the Rolling Stones

Why?: Because they're both really cool, funky, effortless music to listen to with simple guitar that really works. and they remind me of summer.

But even worse.

A lot of recent indie bands are at least making their own sounds though. The Futureheads are just rehashed crap.
