Its a sad day

Why not just enjoy both? Play Xbox exclusives on the console (Fable 2, Halo 3 etc) and play PC exclusives on the PC (Counter strike etc) like me. You don't HAVE to choose one over the other, like the machine has feelings or something! Both have their own separate advantages and it's up to you to take advantage of each and enjoy them both.

If you're talking to me it's down to the amount of time I'd get to play them that's why I'm not buying both.

wow there is a lot of different views here:D

Just for info, i bought the add on pack for borderlands, and decided to keep on gaming.

Bought a PSP for the train to work, Compramise on my part, you don't need an internet connection for that :D

Tbh.

My internet IS always on.

I do object to the whole anti-piracy BS that is spouted about though. DRM is cracked within hours of it coming out. So exactly what is the point in it?

stops second hand sales.

ea/ubi even basically decided to forgoe any "zomg piracy" bs and just come out and say it on the consoles now.

all their new games will come with a one use code, if you sell your console game the second hand buyer will now have to buy a new code (£10) from ea or ubi....

imagine if ford came out and said "anyone buying a second hand car will have to pay a quarter + of initial retail value to us, on top of the payment to the original owner."

They'd be sued into oblivion :(

this tbh.

?Mainly racing games and stuff like msg/ff on the ps3, and shooters o nthe pc, although good exclusives will be played too :p

I dont see the issue with anti piracy. I have never had a problem with it once. Then again, I dont play single player on the PC so I guess I have always had an internet connection whenever I have played.

personally, I buy all my games digitally, then download the DRM free files from certain rrenttor (unscramble that) websites. I'm against piracy..but against these stupid systems that muck up my gameplay. So I think what I do is a good enough compromise.

I think with my job being sat behind a monitor using keyboard and mouse all day, I have come to hate touching mose and keyboard when I am home. Sure, I might still be sitting in front of a screen, but I just find it easier to relax and get into a game with a controller.

And when you get into the game and stop thinking about the difference in how the game looks, the lower res, etc, becomes a non-issue.

Why suffer with the low res when you could just buy an X-Box 360 controller

thats quite harsh to be fair...

not unless you got a dongle or something than yes its very annoying, but most users here have broadband with their internet permanently on, myself inc

if you don't like the controls for PC their are others most games would take with open arms.... I ll perfer to use a PC for all games with a console controller advantage of both :)

The Force is weak in you my son. :(

PC Gamers are a Breed apart & if you are not Mentally strong you will fall by the way side like this poor soul.
Be Warned kids, PC gaming is for Adults !!!

Uncertainty leads to anger. Anger leads to Hate. The path to the Dark Side, this is! :(

When do people in this day and age with a PC not have their internet connected??

Well I stuck some games on my laptop and when I was heading to Rome I didn't have any internet connection. I frequently travel to my folks and friends in Stoke and, again, have no internet connection but want to take my laptop.

When I changed ISP's I had to wait 4 days for activation (couldn't get a MAK as work payed for my old connection) so, again, I was without Internet.

When some tool chopped through the line, I again, was without internet connection.

The list is nigh on endless - there have been so many times my internet has gone down for whatever reason. I don't get why I need to have a net connection, surely they're missing the market for people who genuinely don't have one.
