I can finally share the project I've been working on for what feels like forever -

www.ticketline.co.uk

The site is a scratch build - the existing (abysmal!) code was ditched in favour of creating a new site from the ground up using a modern framework (in this case, Symfony).

Total build time was approximately 5 months of development.

Please feel free to critique, bug report, or generally bash the site. My only caveat is that I had absolutely nothing to do with the design (apart from implementing it in code) - I've argued against it from the start but unfortunately the powers that be like it and it's staying.

Let me know what you think.

:p

Looks nice btw. Is this for the company you worked for or have you been contracted to implement this for another firm?

I work as the sole in-house web developer for Ticketline.

In one of the menus for music type, Metal and Punk are listed together

would make mroe sense to either have metal and Rock or it seperatly =/

other than that very nice indeed

This is something we'll be looking at - currently the genres are a replica of those set-up in our proprietary booking system software that runs alongside the website, but they could definitely do with refinement.

Yea very nice design, like the featured section, it reminds me of a friends list or something from social networking sites.

You guys honestly like the design? I hate it :) The colours are not particularly appealing and the layout is far too crowded for my tastes; most of the feedback we've had has been positive though - so I guess I must be in the minority!
