Finally got the new build up and running guys.... thankyou so much for all your help! In the middle of updating drivers but will try and get some pics up soon!

One little niggle though, my hard drive is 640GB but XP SP3 is showing only 125gb... any ideas?

start > right click my computer > manage > disk management.

You might only have partitioned some of your HD so your need to format/partition the rest.

Just wondering....how did you fix your issue? as i might have a similar problem (the auto shutdown problem you had)

Basically the heatsink that id bought didnt come with very clear instructions so id assembled it incorrectly, as such wasnt connecting the with cpu causing it to over heat, as such triggered the auto shut off....

Problem is it could be any number of things, mine was pretty easy to solve as there was only one issue with the build but this can be caused by many things
