Ok got my new gainward card, any one who has read my other thread will know it will not boot.

In a moment of stupidity I decided to reset my BIOS to optimal default, as I figure I may have turned something off.

Turn my PC on and it would not boot...................opps my drives where on RAID and it turned it off. Turned RAID back on and it decided that one of the drivers was not a RAID members. Great all my stuff gone.

Had to set up raid again, but in doing so I think its upset the drives as although it said the drive was no longer a member of raid I still think the partition it create was there. So the drives now have 2 RAID partitions.

So now vista won't install. It goes so far through the install and crashes out.

My theory is, there is now an partitioned part of the drive that is part of the old raid and its upsetting vista.

Because even with the raid turned off, If i use my XP disk it thinks they are still one drive.

My plan is now to install vista on my old harddrive and FDISK both the others......so hope this works.

All this because the damn Gainward would not boot.

p.s sorry for the long post :)
