Almost flogged my X1900 XTX to get a 8800GT to play COD4 but was amazed that it still can run more than smooth at 1440x900 highest settings.

Not bad for an ancient card

ehm, how is the X1900 XTX ancient? it's not that old... well, not as old as an X600

its ok at 1440X900 but any res above that it shows its age. I have the X1950 pro. Still a decent card tbh

Did you just randomly pick a card with a lower number than 1900 to try to make a point?

In terms of ATI, that isnt really an ancient card. nVidia on the other hand have som many that owning one for 6 months makes it OMG SO LAMEZ LOL! 1440x900 is a good rez to game at. I can see my 8800GT lasting me quite a while as long as i dont upgrade my monitor...

i didn't pick any random number... my old rig (bless her) runs an X600 and a 3400+ athlon on the 939 base...

and yeah, i like 14x9... makes Crysis look even better on my screen what with the higher framerate and all

Yeah I know, was getting solid 30fps+ on mine with most things on high!

Shame it was only for a couple hours until I got bored... havent even reinstalled it since my latest rebuild a month ago...

I've got an X1950PRO.

Great for pretty much everything except Crysis.
