sorry but.....what a complete and utter waste of money!

All depends what you want/need it for. For just casual gaming maybe but definatly not if you are going to be doing a lot of encoding or folding. this product is aimed at the people who want the best of the best, no question asked performance and it definatley delivers that.

No, its really not!

If you're comparing the PC to a Porsche in a folding scenario, it's like saying you're leaving the Porche revving at max while stationary watching how much BHP the engine is making. Driving it around a track would be more comparable to gaming but that doesn't seem to be a selling point going by your description.

So my previous statement stands.

I am not going to argue with you as you are obviously very wound up about this system. Sorry to see that it doesn't make any sense to you but the majority of PC enthusiasts gamers or not, think that this is an amazing build irrespective of price.

I'm not wound up at all. Your sales pitch was just amusing.

No need to be insulting. The system is advertised as the ultimate gaming/folding system. I cannot think of another single system which could offer both extremes and do them so well. As you said you are no stranger to folding, surely you can recognise the power of x2 Overclocked 6 core Xeon CPUs and x2 GTX 580s, no?

Dons unite lol

I'm just expressing my opinion. No need to gang up on me :p

Thats what this forum is about, constructive critiscm is needed at times!

People may well not buy it for folding alone, but one of its selling points is you can do anything on this beast and it wont break a sweat.

Agreed, this is why it is called the "Demolisher" :p

Apologies if it came across the wrong way.

Are we likely to see any benchmarks soon?

No worries! We have benchmarks from an older thread, however there has been a couple of changes.

Mainly the PC-P80N over the older PC-P80B case, the Intel Elmcrest SSD Drive and Corsair XMS3 memory.

We have a dedicated folding/SETI sub forum!

i dont care what u guys think,i agree with naith, this is a awesome build, and if im lucky one day i might build a rig like this,it is a bit exspensive but you get what u pay for,end of?

:)

What, no GTX 590s? ;)

Not with the availability of them! Hardly any at suppliers at the moment and the performance of two 590's in SLI is questionable for gaming.

they must be making 15-20% extra off this easy

Of course, there a business. They set it up and build it. ensure it all works together. I think for that price there is a LOT of work that goes into it. not just throwing some components together and powering up.

Magic_x_uk speaks sense.

Is this motherboard just for intel or could you do one for dual phenom II X6's.
The system should be cheaper if you could use amd cpu's as they are a lot cheaper than intel cpu's.
Also does it have to be this case as these Lian Li cases arent that cheap either prices of £250+.

Still a nice system just think it would be nice to be able to see what it would be like without intel.

The Lian Li case is chosen as there are very few case that can accommodate the SR-2 motherboard. The motherboard is Intel and isn't compatible with AMD.
