Hi Gang
Those of you who were around when I first joined the forums will know that PC hardware was a very different beast to what it is now.
2x1GB Sticks of OCZ Platinum 6400 DDR2 was £149.99.
The P45 chipset and a Core 2 Quad Q6600 with 4GB of Gibbo's finest orange GEIL Value RAM was an elite setup.
This lot was regularly paired with a 8800 GTX and housed inside the ultimate PC case. The Antec 900.
It was our most popular case for a reason. Sure the LEDs were only blue and the HDD cages were a hassle to install when you were building 8-10 computers a day into them.
It didn't matter though. If you had a PC, it was probably in a 900.
The original 900 was replaced by the 902. Their new case matched the aesthetic of their new Antec 1200 and was better in some ways than the old 900.
But it wasn't the 900.
A sad day for all involved.
Fast forward 18 years and here we are. Antec have a new 900 and its completely different to what I expected.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Antec 900. An EATX chassis with enormous potential.
Aimed firmly at performance enthusiasts and workstation installs, the new 900 has taken a completely different path to its older namesake model.
The case can easily accommodate a plethora of hardware and cooling gear with loads of room to spare.
Whilst this isn't a mainstream case, Antec have really smashed the mainstream case market recently putting out hit after hit and now they have something high end to show off.
Their recent success is clearly carrying through to this new flagship offering.
Yeah its expensive, but its cheaper than 4GB of RAM in 2008.
