But mining does seem to have hit our interests in DC stuff as a whole.

As for folding, they have causes some disillusionment amongst some of our participants as they will be stopping BigAdv type work, which means those who had invested in heavy duty crunchers will now have hardware that is of little use. Many have swapped over to BOINC projects.
 
Apparently BigAdv doesn't fit with the ethos of folding@home. They don't think it's fair a few have mega rigs and the project should be about average users and what they can do. BigAdv was supposedly experimental and grew into something unexpected. :rolleyes:

i think thats silly...i think it was good that some one is prepared to spend the money to do my yearly points in less than a week when its for a good of mankind and the point go to my team ..bit like schools in the UK don't do competitive sports as it may upset some kid that not very good at it
