Someone advised me to post my setup/desk pictures in the relevant forum and I had a quick skim and couldnt see anything specfic to posting your setup so I'll drop it here and won't be offended if its moved!

Firstly, let me say thanks to those in the other thread that helped me with my build/choices it really was and still is greatly appreiciated.

Secondly, I've had to sacrifice two things now because of you guys: 1) My second monitor till she buys another one and 2) The manlyness of "The Office" which you'll see in the pictures below.

So we'll start with my setup first:

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz @ 4.4Ghz
MSI P67A-C45 Intel P67
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
MSI HD 5770 1GB GDDR5
Generic 1TB HDD
OCZ 180GB Vertex 2 SSD
Antec LanBoy Air (5 Standard fans, 8 on order)
800w PSU (Can't remember the brand actually now, I'm sure its a thermaltake or coolermaster. I really should check!)
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2

Laptop is an dv9000 (Intel 2Ghz / 2GB Ram)

Very poor attempted at 'tidying' the inside up, then had a brain wave after some googling of other Lanboy owners and put most the cables behind. You can imagine what the case was like without cable ties!

So I did it again with some effort this time but still want it to be tidier.

Not the tidiest ever but at least its mostly hidden back there.

Her setup:
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz @ 4.0Ghz (temps too high in her case/case position to get any higher, possibly to do with the PSU not being strong enough to)
MSI P67A-C45 Intel P67
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
500GB HDD
OcUK GeForce GTX 460 OC 1024MB GDDR5
Xigmatek Midgard Midi Tower Case - White
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2
Corsair Builder Series CX 430W

Yeah I was thinking that when I was tidying up earlier, not quite sure why. Power cables may have pulled it some from a previous installation.. or maybe it was like that when I got it just never noticed.

Either way it works fine so I'm not complaining and if it dies... an excuse for an upgrade ;)

is it just me or is the 5770 a little bent to the right?

Yeah it is!

Other than that, some excellent cable work there to keep it all tidy in those smallish cases. The Xigmatek looks excellent inside.

Also, are your rear fans set to bring air in or out? Most people have them as an exhaust, but if you've got them blowing air in straight onto the CPU cooler then that makes sense.

The Xigmatech case is absolutely stunning, I expected it to be smaller though but I'm glad its not and the quality is excellent, worth a lot more than 29.99 if you ask me.

Loving the slots on the tray to push the cables through, I wish the lanboy had a top slot for the cpu power cable so I didnt have to run it along the left hand side. I'd 100% recommend that case and I'm seriously considering buying the black version for my server box. I think it could use another fan though or a watercooled CPU kit but will have to see how it functions on hot days. Idle is 40ish compared to the idle of 30 on my lanboy (both overclocked, lanboy running 2.25v against the Xigma 1.75

With fails and just generally not liking some placements, I have 1 cable tie left out of a pack of 50.. thats how anal I've tried to be about it all and getting the best placements of things. Its really not easy with the lanboy esp with the mesh and gaps in the side panel. Trying to think of it when it has a full set of fans in. Will still have some more cables to tidy (fan/molex) I guess.

I tried the expansion slot screw tighten, doesn't help. What I've done is, luckily on the lanboy it has a suspension system for the HDDs so I've done this:

Moved the bunching of the power cables down some aswell, as I did originally tie the whole bunch up there but didnt like that the bunch was then in the way of cooling.

The exhaust is set to blow inwards onto the CPU. I think what I'm going to do is, move the middle front fan up to the top so that there is more of a "positive" pressure (I guess thats the right term) on that area. I dont think I need extra cooling for what I'm doing but I guess it makes no harm to get every inch out of it! For the moment though I'll leave them as they are until my new fans arrive. Then I'm gunna overclock the GPU some ready for BF3/MW3/SWTOR :)

Also ordered another 4gig of ram yesterday, which was posted today. Feeling a little bit like I'm at the edge.. 75-82% physical memory used in EQ2 right after launch.
