You've guessed it, 3 red lights on my 360.

Now this is a launch day machine so where do I stand? Preordered from a high street retailer on launch day and now its gone kaboom.

I didnt play it excessively and I got the red lights after I turned it on after about 3 days of no use.

So, was November 22 the launch day or was is 2 December in UK?
Ill try to find the reciept but may not have it, what can I do? :(

In a way thats good timing, get a brand new console before your warranty is out

You've got 5 days left of your warranty, go to the shop you got it from and get a refund
But as I said no receipt as I see, what other proof will be required?

Also if I get a new one will the warrenty be another year?

Print out a bank statement or a credit card statement which shows the purchase, thats all you need :)
Looks like I got lucky then, will give them a ring tomorrow. :p

EDIT: I was told to squeeze it and give it some lovin' so I did, and it works now  Not expecting it to work for long though....
Will the shop test the console or just give me a new one?

EDIT 2: Just as I thought,worked for 1 minute :p

You should be fine with just the serial number when you call up MS instead of taking it back to the shop.
Are you saying I should send it to MS or is this incase the shop won't accept it?

Is the shop the ideal method?

I've just phoned up the store in question and apparantly I can't get it replaced in store with it being almost 1 year old  She said I have to go through Microsoft so I will phone them up now and get a replacement ordered.

What do Microsoft require and what phone number do I call? Just the Microsoft Customer Services?

Just phoned MS, tried to get an order through but their "systems are running slow at the moment", so now I have to call back later and see if their systems are working.

Ill keep you posted on the turnaround time.

I just spoke to some guy from MS and he says I have to send it in a box which is not the original. Does it have to be plain or just any other box?

He said it was to do with delivery men stealing the xbox's

You have to get your own box now. Send it in that. Then keep the one they return it in for your next send back.
Thanks for the confidence that my next one will break :p

Ive got one of those A4 paper Votocopy boxes, it should be ok?
