Ditto. I prefer the standard cooler because even at 40% fan it keeps my GTX260 216 55nm under 60C and expels the hot ait outside the case.
Just my 2 pennies worth.

Do what you like, i haven't wasted my money, like some i could mention. There's nothing clever about buying 3 285's then not buying a big enough case, then not even checking to see if case number 2 would accommodate them, then having to buy a THIRD CASE. Then not being able to get TRI-SLI to work, after being to told it it was unnecessary, ludicrously expensive, troublesome, and likely to have heat issues.
the EVGA tool also works on non-EVGA cards

I do help people out, and i advised him actually. He ignored everyone and made a complete dogs breakfast of it. And come on, you have to laugh when a guy buys a 2nd case becuase his cards won't fit into the first one and doesn't bother checking!
