Some of you may have seen this picture , this is the follow on from it. The picture below was taken today as I was bored and the dog happened to be in the garden. I can't think of a title for this photo so suggestions welcome.

Picture%20091%20resized.jpg

Nikon D50
Sigma 70-300mm @ 70mm
1/350sec
F4
ISO 200

Slight levels tweak, tiny bit of sharpening on the eyes to make the stand out and crop and resize all in Photoshop CS2.

Please feel free to comment and tweak the picture if you wish.

Thanks

'What you lookin' at?' ;)

Have you considered charging for pet portraits? I did one of my Springer and the amount of people asking to have portraits done of their pets after seeing it was a bit overwhelming, my shot wasn't anywhere near as good as yours either.

The colours in that are fantastic. It's a great shot.

Can i go slightly OT and ask how you get the EXIF data embedded in your image? I use a D50 as well and have the plugin for FF that shows the EXIF data. I see it fine in yours, but nothing on any of my images.

I use CS2 to crop/resize/whatever my RAW files and do save for web.. to output  Do i need to do something on my D50? (Thanks!)

theres your problem!

save as!

I was gonna post back saying "but surely wouldnt that give huge images to upload" but i just tried it and unless the quality is over 10 (save as), the size is smaller than the 85% save for web setting i've been using. Woops :o

(Ta. Thread derail over :p)

What an awesome dog, My mate has a GS, actually he has one thanks to me! I used to work for a lady years ago who was selling her GS pup and my mate was looking for one so I forwaded him to her, now the dog (Max) is VERY big and pretty damn friendly! he looks just like that!

Very nice image :)
