Yet another one bites the dust!!

Yes ive heared they are no good, and i know they are not this is my third one,The first one lasted for two years so still under warranty got it replaced but when i fitted it it was making a hell of a noise,So i got this one and guess how long it lasted just over a year well by 3months:mad:,Its still under warranty so im going to phone them up but i still wont be putting it back in if they replace it,Im wanting another make:)

And if the corsair is good ill go for that one

Cheers:)

Hope it did'nt take anything with it.

I hope it hasn't taken anything aswell!!!! What happened was:

I left my pc on went downstairs 15mins later i went back to the pc, And O im sure i left my pc on so i press the button but nothing,I took the mains out left for 10mins then plugged it back in,The pc trys to go the fan on the cpu goes so does the fans on the psu but then it dies and nothing. The cpu does smell a bit funny but it could be just the dust, Last time the psu failed it never took anything with it,Is it common for things to get blown with the psu?

So this is your second Hiper to fail? I would have thought you would have learnt from the first time and sold the replacement to buy something decent. I lost a 2 week old motherboard to an exploding Hiper. Flames, smoke and everything!! Hopefully if your's has just died then your components should be ok.

Ive been in contact with hiper,They told me its no longer under warranty. The warranty carrys on from when i bought it,Even though i was told last year that i had a full 3years warranty because i had it replaced:mad:

Antec EarthWatts 380W would have been plenty for that PC so you can be sure those Hipers didn't die because of high load.

Those parts peak only at 200W which is nothing compared to some configurations which have been run on various around 400W OEM Seasonics.
