It's official 2023 is the best year for gaming since 2003

There has been some great games in the last 10 months but there is a distinct lack of games coming towards xmas. I usually stack a few games to play while i am off but there isnt much that appeals to me now or the run up to xmas. I might pick up Spider-Man 2 if there is a deal on, not really interested in yet another COD, Alan Wake 2 is right up my street and i loved the first but I am not paying £50 for a digital release, Might look at Robocop: Rogue City. I do have a few Switch games i need to start as well so i guess they will be getting played.. Oh and although not most peoples cup of tea, i will be playing Fortnite on the original map for the month or until i get bored..

I'm currently on Alan wake 2 and just purchased physical copies of spiderman 2, super Mario wonder and Metroid prime. Also still have the latest Forza installed from gamepass, as well as Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen to play. There is also some new PSVR2 games I want this month

I technically have 4 game platforms that I use regularly, ps5, pc, switch and psvr2 so I'm drowning in games

I have 3, i have Metroid Prime(I have played a little bit of it but was in the middle of TOTK and thought it was a bit meh), Skyward Sword and Bayonetta 3 on the switch and Demon slayer on the PS5 i have just not really got anything new to play i rarely play games on my PC.

The games have been so good publishers and developers have laid off thousands of staff.

It's everywhere though

Businesses around the world on average hired an extra 20% staff during Covid, and now that Covid induced customer demand is gone, that 20% is being let go
