...again when the gym gets busy due to new years resolutions :( I can't wait till February when they realise they don't have the will power :D

Other half works as a cleaner in a local gym and she's had enough of the new year resolution brigade, they leave everything filthy and don't bother cleaning up after themselves, whereas long term member show respect and do clean up

Its not too bad in mine at the moment, have noticed a fair few new faces but they all seem to stay in the cardio room :D

At the local leisure centre in the 'adult swim' times the number of people there is high but it soon lowers by halfway through the 50 min session.

Just looks like some people think **** it halfway through and go to the chippy.

Its pretty horrible in my uni gym, especially in the cardio room where all machines have often been taken. Makes the gym even warmer than it already is too :(

It's annoying the gym being so crowded for a month or so but I always try to remember that the people who show up for January only are helping subsidise me for the rest of the year.

Just scowl at them, have a slightly 'roid psycho look in your eyes, load up a bar with 200+kg and make them realise they don't belong here.

Or you could not be a **** like I am, and help them, and offer them advice and encourage them...

Me. I'm selfish.

'My weights, my bar. These belong to me!!!! Back the **** UP!'

One thing I don't like besides the slight crowdedness is people never having seen somebody training hard. I get this sort of  look. Yes I have veins, Yes I sweat, Yes I lift hard. If it offends you stop ****ing looking. I'm not some sort of freak you can pay x amount per month to come and stare at.

Not being big headed but I'm sure anyone with a reasonable physique gets the same. I can't imagine what it's like when you're 'BIG'.

I make a conscious effort not to look at gigantic blokes for any longer than I would at anybody else as I myself don't like being watched.

As everyones seen from my pictures and my DL video, I'm by no means a big guy but even I get this from time to time. It just makes me want to push that little bit more

We've only had a couple of new faces so far. I was watching this one guy and his mate yesterday (haha it works the other way too!) who had zero motivation and... well I can't even suitably describe them. The one fella was on a seated shoulder press machine, must have been about 16-17 and 7 stone, chewing gum while he half assed repped 5kg with his mate actively spotting him. I couldn't help but stare wide eyed :O He had such a weird look of indifference.

My training partner is the biggest lad <25 in the gym but he loves it when people stare and whips his trousers down to his ankles 9/10... His legs are really good but its enough of a shock for newbies to look away :p

Just popped down the gym at around 8pm expecting it to be quiet and there was quite a fair few new people in there (they just have that look about them). Thankfully, most seemed to be on their way out and I pretty much had my pick of the treadmills and machines so obviously I'd timed it right.

One young chap seemed a little too curious in trying to see what weight setting I was using on a particular machine as he was using it prior to me and his eyes looked like they were about to pop out of his head when he saw how much, haha. I think he was working at about 35kg and I at 130kg. In my defence though, I've got strong legs whereas this guy was on the smaller side.

I don't know if anyone here is the same - I mean, I don't necessarily mind that people are a little curious - I just find it a little off-putting really. As someone said earlier: they're pretty much subsidising the rest of us and they're not causing anyone any harm. I've got no issue apart from I like quiet gyms. :p

You do quiet often get people trying to see what weight your lifting when you hop on a machine after them. Especially when you're bigger.

They try to justify 'He's that big and pushing x amount = it's all show and he's not strong/or/ I think I'm on par and pushing reasonable weight for my size'.

You do get people that think it's a competition sometimes

Fortunately I don't get that in my gym - but I have had it in other places. People think you're slapping on lots of weight for show. It's not a ****ing circus, it's the gym, I'm hear to rip myself to pieces, and push my body. If I'm not drenched in sweat by the end of the session I'm not working hard enough.

Gym I go to hasnt been too bad in terms of new joiners of late although I think its oversubscribed anyway.

Problem (use that term loosly) Im finding at the moment is that theres a group of 3 MAHOOOSIVE fellas that have started training at the same time I go over to the gym.

Believe one of them is going into competition.
His arms are bigger than my legs!!!

anyway....
As much as I find it inspiring seeing them in there , if they are doing some big lifts, then they use most of the plates in the place meaning that despite having spare benches and bars....theres not enough weight to put on them.

Guess thats what I get for going to a cheap gym :(

No danger of that for me at the mo with my mighty 35kg fixed BB for complexes :D. Guess it's a similar sort of thing with GVT - the ego stays at home.
