This stuff makes my blood boil.

All available police units attended the accidents which came as a result of the rain following a prolonged dry period.

Why is this always thrown around like it's some kind of valid reason/excuse. Why don't people take some responsibility instead of harping on about rain after a dry period.

You would think as a result of it getting blamed enough (like every time there is an accident) that people would have LEARNT to stop being stupid and bad drivers and that *gasp* rain compromises friction. 2 girls crashed a van into a lamppost and nothing was attributed to the crash, yeah I'll attribute "Bad driving". No doubt if it was 2 young lads they would have been speeding or racing!

Weather is about as valid as blaming a tail wind for speeding. In-fact, I'll be trying that if I am ever in such a position and need some weak excuse.

At least it wasn’t leaves on the line, no wait that’s for trains. Oh and by the way it doesn’t make my blood boil. :p

I thought most of the roads on Jersey were limited to relatively slow speeds anyway? Which makes it all the more embarrassing for the drivers involved...
