its too cold

I know it's irrational, but it really gets my goat when people, usually men, insist on wearing shorts, t-shirts, sometimes even sandals, when it's absolutely freezing outside. I mean, the sort of cold where EVERYBODY else is in hats, scarves, gloves, big coats. WTF are they trying to prove? 'Heh! Look at me! I'm an outdoors-ey guy that eats weather like this for breakfast! Imagine - If I can do the school run dressed like this, then I must be climbing Mount Everest at the weekend!'

It was my wife's birthday yesterday, so as a treat I turned the heating on last night. ;)

I sometimes do it because I'm so fed up of being warm, with everyone constantly sticking the heating on.

If I'm just going round the supermarket, i.e. my only walk outside is between the car and the house / shop, then I quite enjoy it for a couple of minutes.

If I particularly wanted to prove how masculine I am, my first port of call wouldn't be standing outside in a t-shirt.

I need to get myself a winter jacket, does anyone have a Penfield jacket?

There expensive but they look like they will last.

Not sure on the sizing of them though, especially the sleeve length and I can't find any stockists nearby to try them on without a trek.

Its that time of year again... not really that cold now but I thought I would kick off the thread in style

pfft, had to close one out of the three open windows in the room. Cold how do you guys survive winter. I cant handle heat, but at least summer is short in uk. Still wearing shorts outside.

Lovely and warm inside with the central heating on, but outside is another matter. I'm already at the point where if I don't need to leave the house I won't. Especially if it's raining. I'd have been loving my evening walks during summer too. :(

Another 6 months of this.....
