It's taken over 16 years to beat the heat record in wales, and in 2003 they said that hot dry summers would be a common place and would happen EVERY year. That hasn't happened. BBC/SKY keep banging on the GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE ACT NOW RED RED RED DANGER, 1000'S WILL DIE. GB NEWS is like oh come on, it's a two day heatwave lol
Hit 40c in the shade on my eve weather station. It’s 5ft off the ground on a north facing post in our south west facing garden.
Totally heat soaked back there with all the brick walls and concrete slabs.
Humidity 17%! It’s a dry heat!
The only time I’ve ever felt hot air like that is Dubai, never thought we’d get that here. It’s like a hairdryer. To be fair it is a fair bit hotter than most med places.
Met Office forecast for tomorrow has gone up a degree from 34 to 35 here (Liverpool). Toasty! Luckily it peaks at 1pm then starts tailing off quite rapidly. Down to 25 by 6pm so we can start opening windows etc.
