Quite the thunderstorm here in the Highlands, very wet!

It's a great shame for those that have lot there homes due to the fires, the Sky live helicopter scenes are shocking.

Still about 32C outside for us. Inside temperatures are about 29/30 so needs another hour or 2 before I can open windows.

Logged up, small stuff ready to go down to the fire (but not just yet, the chain saws have good spark arrestors but seeing the terrible fires on the news gave me the jitters). Beer time. Cooling down a bit now, but near concrete, Tarmac and buildings it's still wafting some stored heat energy off!

Still hotter outside than inside. The cloud blanket holding in this heat is a nightmare.
I have a massive fever and feel terrible. Easily the worst day in a decade.

Clouding over and looks like it's going to rain. I have a feeling all this is going to do is boost the humidity and not really make it much cooler

Wind is really picking up here. Forecasts say rain for the next 2-3 hours. Hope it’s that and not a short shower that’ll just bump the humidity up.

Today is hotter inside my home than yesterday (~1.5-2C), probably because it was so warm last night. Outside temperatures are actually slightly lower but still stubbornly high.

I remembered an old fan heater that I haven't used for years, has a no-heat blower function, that's come to my rescue in my 89F PC room today.

Must invest in a decent fan.
