found this yesterday, tyre was plugged when I bought it part worn but tread was fine around it,4k or more miles later and this:eek:

real shame cos it has plenty tread left on the tyre

so how low do you go on your tyres??

Well let's put it this way, a lot sooner than I have to start relying on a two thirds visible tread argument with the rozzers.

Ive just done mine today, front had a couple of mm left but it'd given me pause for thought a couple of times in corners, & once my confidence was gone so was the tyre.

haha yh,its still touching cloth,im gonna try and eek out the miles before it goes bang

have to the price they cost

I paid £40 for the tyre above part worn, worth a scout around think it had 4 or 5 mm when I bout it

ive had them puncture before they are pretty stable when flat,if it was the front I wouldn't risk it though

if its new they have the release agent/coating on them is that what you mean?

you have to be carefull and wear that off

the maxxis tyres are cheap but never tried one

EDIT: im taking it easy,it just deflates a little

ohh I get you

id look for part worn, thats the cheapest, but pick ones that say 4 or 5 mm left

Pirelli are good idk the sizes for your bike but touring tyres last long time

Pirelli Diablo Strada 's for £130 notes from M&P front and rear, nice tyre for the price... I had them on mine a while back... I'd never touch part worns when tyres are this cheap surely?

what sort are they angel st's?

i use 120/60/17 front and i go for a wider 180/55/17 rear

EDIT: ohh i see them,id be interested in the rear if you were to split

pair of new st's are £155,best price i could find

TBH mate would want to just sell off as a pair, saves messing around... but see you're running a lower profile front... then again wouldn't be asking much, you could always then just sell on. ping me on [email protected]

m&p did have a really good deal on the Pilot Road 2 for £150 the other week with free gift paddock stand that could be used on the front as well ... I just checked and now the offers gone :( sorry always the way

I saw a pair of conti road attack 2's 120/180 for £150 on ebay the other day , angels would be better in the wet.

I need some new tyres as well and the price is a joke now , I was quoted £319 for the new conti attacks 2 evo for my cb1300 rip off and the same companys selling the new bridgstone touring tyres for £220 on ebay
