iTune with iPod and iPhone

Ok Folks

I have a load of music on my iTune which has been working with my Partner iPod. Today we decided to put some of the music on my iPhone but when I come to sync the music to my iPhone I get the message do you want to erase and sync but if I did this it will muck up my iPhone so how should I do this?
 
The easiest way to do this is create 2 different playlists, one for your partner's ipod and the other for your iphone.

Add whatever music you each want in the playlists (select tracks, right click, add to playlist...)

Then set up her ipod to only sync her playlist and your iphone to only sync yours.
