Hi,

I have a huge folder of MP3 that i have built up and it been on my Windows laptop and now I have sold it and kept a copy of the MP3 Folder.

What is the easy and quick way to import this folder into iTune on my Mac? As I am having to do 1 song as a time and taking forever

In iTunes go to File > Import, and select the folder where all your mp3s are then iTunes will create its own library with all your music.

No go and buy yourself an iPhone :p

Now that is done cheers Justin :)

Now the MP3 are all muddles up how do I get itune to sort them out in order?

LOL about iPhone you wait and see :P

What, do you mean you want them arranged alphabetically?

Click these to arrange them differently:

Ahh if that's what you mean ^ then so it all manually, it took me forever to do mine, but it's the best way imo.

music brainz can do it automatically

re-importing from the CD is also good, as it will gracenote the tracks automagically,

I use some iTunes scripts when I have a proper album without names, but in the right order... just have iTunes look up the CDDB and rename them - google 'CDDB safari' - this will take you to a scripts page, plenty of iTunes mojo there.

you can mass rename files just by highlighting them all and right clicking and getting info - good for albums and artists, but not track titles.

When I originally imported my CDs in to iTunes I didn't have many issues.

In fact, none with the actual ID tags.. moreso with incorrect artwork or stupid album titles (Japanese characters for an album or two, and a fair few with (UK RELEASE) )

Might be worth looking in to the Amazon albumart widget.. I sense you're about to ask for it ;)

CLICKY

I know I linked to the Albumart widget but I actually used Google Images, Last.fm and allcdcovers.com to find all of mine (and a LOT of time)
