Itunes 10.4 killed my media keys (which work in 10.3)

Itunes 10.4 is out and itunes asked me to upgrade, so I did, now my logitech media keys won't work in itunes (although the logitech software is set to find itunes).

I've dropped back to 10.3 and it all works perfectly again.

Next idiot who tells me Apple is better than Microsoft can go jump off a cliff. :mad:

I'm a little angry because I have to recover my media library back off my backups after the updated version "rewrote" it so 10.3 could read it again. Haven't lost anything, but it's the hassle that I really should not have had to go through.

Has anyone found a fix in 10.4? I'd like to be on the latest version of the software if possible. And yes, I did update the logitech sofware and restart the computer and it made no difference.

Looks like it's broken for all non Apple keyboards - no fix yet.

Choose 10.3.1 and either 32 bit or 64 bit, depending on which you use (I use 64 bit).

"Better touch tool" lets you program keys/gestures however you want.

Can you do "per-app" settings for your Logitech keyboard? I noticed this too but I rarely use my KB media buttons, just those on the mouse. To fix it on my MX Revolution I changed the button function for iTunes from 'previous/next' to 'back/forward'.

Its annoying I agree. So is their constant screwing with the UI (still prefer v9 colours over v10), the reverse contrast of the volume bar threw me at first

Is it just me or does 10.4 screw up pasting in album art work. I can import it from an actual jpeg file but if I try and paste an image off the clipboard its just adds an empty frame/black image :confused:

The fix definitely works, but it seems a little odd Logitech haven't fixed this themselves.
They did acknowledge the fault on their support forums and mentioned their engineers were looking into it...
