iTunes 32x only?

So I upgraded to Vista x64 and I got a message in iTunes saying my iphone wont work without the x64 version of iTunes.. .. I don't think there is one so is it bitching about the OS X version which obviously would be 64 bit?

After a quick google I see that there is no compatability. Oh well, good job my iphone already has my stuff on it. Sure enough they will make it compatable soon surely.

Because Vista's been out for a year and Apple have made no public effort to produce a 64-bit version of iTunes.

Itunes runs in vista x64. Just not the iphone + iTunes..

It's not officially supported, and the CD burning feature doesn't work properly. The vast majority of people still use 32 bit windows (including practically all OEM systems) so there's no particular reason to think it will be supported anytime soon.

how hard can it be fore a big manufacture to make it compatable though. Thats the point though isnt it?
Will apple declare bankruptcy if they released an iTunes Windows x64 version.

I am in the same situation - really frustrating that apple cant just pull their finger out and get this sorted. I am going to have to downgrade to 32bit vista for now. One can only hope it gets sorted fairly soon.
