Just got both via software update.

Not noticed much so far part from some cosmetic changes to iTunes, probably released due to upcoming iPhone launches in Europe.

Yeah, always had the hole.. I can see it here (iTunes 7.4) as I'm downloading the updates.

After using it for a while when I got home, I'm loving the new effects round the buttons and boxes. Was nearly pleasurable giving Apple my new Visa card details.

edit - although saying that, wont it always be displayed as either "charging" or "charged" - no inbetween?

Don't see the point of an iPhone yet (for me) - I want more space to play my music, I love my SE W880i and if my iPod battery dies, I don't want my phone to die (vice versa)

But that's being off topic

I didn't notice much difference with the new iTunes - not used WT that often to noticed either...

No, but vice versa.. an iPod with newer firmware may fail to sync/connect in iTunes if you don't have an up-to-date copy of iTunes.

..which is why iTunes 7.5 is out; for the iPhones arriving shortly
