itunes 8 - buggy?

Ever since upgraded to itune 8 now it uses up 40% of the CPU when idle, and it wouldn't exit, i have to go into Taskmanager and kill it in XP.

Anyone else have this problem?

Not tried reinstall yet because i don't know if it will kill my backup sync on my iphone.

not had any problems with itunes 8 having it running now with an audiobook with a peak of 5% on a q6600 @3.ghz, might be worth started from scratch on it keeping your data of course

according to the version its 8.0.1.11 if that helps

This on Windows I assume?

On Mac it is a little buggy, can freeze when scrolling through album art for some reason.

Yup, on XP, it is also really sluggish, about 10 times worse than before i went from V7. On P4 3.2 2g of ram.

Was fine before, did not want to upgrade, only did it to get firmware 2.1 on my iphone.

Downgrade. Now you have upgraded, it should be ok.
