iTunes and iPhone problem, adding music

I have encoutered a problem! i have just come to add music to my iPhone , and i can't!

I try and drag it to the iPhone but it just won't add it!

Is there anything you have to de specifically? Sync it or something?

tick the manually manage music and video box or something when the iphone is plugged or tell it to sync specific playlists.

huh, i have just added a lot of music, i went to play it on iTunes and a ! Came next to it , yet it plays fine on the phone?

Means it cant find the file that you are trying to play on your hard drive. If you have moved or renamed anything, this will be the cause.
