ITunes and restoring from a backup ... please help

Hi Guys

For some reason my itunes wont let me restore to a back up ... ive upgraded to os4 and it just wont let me upgrade.

Allways gives me the following error - "backup session failed"

It went completley to pot a minute ago and i restored the phone, turned off any anti virus deleted all the old backups and its still doing it

Can anyone help, really want to get my stuff back and im rubbish with itunes

To clarify you've said you upgraded to iOS 4 but then say 'it just won't let me upgrade' I presume you mean restore from the backup?

It might just be that you need to give up if it has successfully restored, however speak to Apple Care on the phone and they can troubleshoot this.
