Itunes/app store vouchers

Quick easy question.

looking to buy one of the above as a gift.

Are they interchangeable (use iTunes to buy a app, App Store for a film/music) or is it fixed ...

The credit just gets added to your account and can be used for anything you like.

They are the same, just the cards are branded differently.

I've received many an iTunes gift card in my time, and used them on apps, music downloads and film rentals - no problems. You can also use them in-store to buy hardware/accessories should you wish.
