Itunes Apps - Re Downloading

Say i bought some apps from itunes, and my computer got wiped out, and i never put them on my ipod. I know i can re-download them for free. But what if i cant remember what apps i paid for? Is there a way to download every app that you have previously downloaded or paid for? Ive got over 500 apps and i deleted some by accident and cant remember which ones. I also dont have the emails they sent to my mail account.

There is a purchse history in the itunes store, I just figure out how I got to it.

Edit: Open itunes, go to the store, scroll down to the bottom, under "Manage" is "My account" click on that, you may be asked to login, scroll down a little and then it has your purchase history click "view history" or similar and then it has it listed by week with all the apps in there.

thanks ive been stuck for 2 days, but that is the most horrible system ive ever seen, you would need to write down the names of all the apps, then search for them and download them. there should be an option to be able to download them from within that history. i suppose apple dont want you to be able to do that though for some reason. i suppose im going to have to just manually look through all of these writing down the ones i dont have.

Yeah I know it's a pain in the arse, but as far as I know that's the only way to go about it.
