I have a couple of questions about album art.

1. Does itunes save the album art as jpg files and if so where?

2. If they are not saved as jpg files is it possible to export them (so I can save them elsewhere).

Thanks

1) They are JPEGs but stored as different files, can't remember what.

2) When playing the song from the album cover you want right click in the album art box and click 'copy' and paste it where you want.

Thanks, that works fine.

As far as I know the Itunes artwork files are encrypted so you can't access them directly. You can see them in explorer but can't get to the jpegs directly. The copy and paste method is ok but a bit slow. If your file naming doesn't match Apple then it's a bit pap to get the artwork.

I normally rip my albums in Exact Audio Copy and use Cover Art Downloader to embed the artwork before Itunes, seems to work quite well. My main issue is the artwork quality is not normally as good as Itunes or the right dimensions.

i just spend 2 hours adding art work to my itunes from amazon and discogs... fairly time consuming.... but worth it for cover flow :)

Cover flow is nice but mine is slow as hell and I end up turning it off. Are there any fixes around for this?
