Hi All,

Hope everyone got what they wanted this xmas!

On that note i got my first ipod :D

I have loads of MP3's that i have imported into my libary, but the artwork has not come accross!

When i play the mp3 with windows media player, the artwork shows.

How do i get this into itunes?

thanks

You can right click the track or highlight a few tracks. On a PC you right click then theres an option to "Get Artwork" or something along those lines.

Not to sure about on a mac, im sure its similar. I will soon find out when my macbook arrives today or tomorrow :)

I am using a windows pc! in windows explorer the mp3's show artwork. When i drag the mp3's to itunes the artwork does not display. when i then click "get artwork" in itunes it says cannot find.

mmm make sure all the info is correct in itunes.

oh another thing to check, in itunes you have got option to show artwork in the pane in the bottom left ? My brother had a similar problem :p he asked me where the artwork was, but he didnt even have the pane enabled :p

Once you done all that the only other way is go to google, look for a piccy of the albums artwork copy and paste into the pane where the artwork should be.

I think it depends on how you assigned artwork to the mp3 in the first place.

I'm not sure about Explorer/Media Player because I'm Mac based but iTunes for Mac doesn't 'embed' the artwork into the mp3 tag data. It stores all of the artwork info on a separate database which is quite annoying.

There are a few ways around it like using 3rd party ID3 Tag editors to embed the artwork for instance but how ever you do it, it sounds like it's going to take quite a bit of time/effort depending on how big your library is.

I'm quite anal so I'm very strict on how I process my music before adding it to my iTunes library.

It is to do with the ID£ tag, and where itunes looks for artwork.

Oh well, i have done it manually now, so won't have to do it again!

Thanks
