itunes automatically renaming all my movies.

For some reason itunes wants all of my movies to be called "AMC". Is there a way to flush what itunes has decided to call each movie and can I stop it from trying to change the name every time and just accept what it's called?

This sounds bizarre. Is it renaming after adding the files into iTunes or when you sync?

If it's changed the metadata you're going to have to use something to change it back.
