ITunes Backup

Hello All,

was just wondering what the ITunes backup covers.

I have a few games on my phone my son plays when out and about and wanted to save his progress on them.

I always do a ITunes full backup to my PC but I have never had to use it (touch wood) so unsure of what is restored if I ever had a issue with my phone.

I have a IPhone 5, so does the backups cover everything on the phone or just the version of IOS its currently on? im currently on IOS 10.0.2

EDIT....just released I put this under hardware, someone can move it to software if they like!

I'm fairly sure it creates an exact 'image' of the phone - so it will be replicated when restored - but don't quote me on that and find more out, but I've a feeling its something like that.

An iTunes backup will include a copy of all the data on the iPhone used by apps. So this will include game data, this applies if you use iCloud Backups or iTunes Backups.

Make sure you select the "encrypted backup" option, then it will contain absolutely everything.
