Itunes before i throw it out the window :)

Hi all

i've just added a bunch of new music to my itunes, moved it onto the play list i like to use for my music (to keep it seperate from my dads)

for some reason i have noticed that most the albums i have added the songs have been moved out of order since adding to itunes.

I.E rather than a 9 track album runing from 1 to 9 it now goes 5, 7, 1, 8 and so on.

the songs are now totally randomized.

not only that but it has decided to spilt some of the albums into 3 with some songs on each album entry and even highligting them all and selecting that they are a compilation isnt moving them back to one.

if anyone has any ideas how to solve either of these problems please enlighten me as im scared to plug my ipod in now as the orders etc will end up totally screwed.

for the album one, select them all, right click, get info, rename the album so it's same as before, then press ok. should'nt be split now.

yea can be a pain in the arse, but just try again. Renaming it slightly etc or as scythe has said.

I cannot tell you how long it has taken me to rename, edit, sort and add album covers!

Although now my iTunes collection is fantastic

Also, you can right click and change it to view by track number = sorted.

sorry to jack the thread a bit but itunes is being a pain in the ass, my gf bought a whole album and now it wont sync to the ipod because the pc isnt autherised but it is, i authorise the computer and it says two of five computers authorised, im not really sure what to do. Oh and thanks scythe for the advice we had the same problem with the albums and its sorted now so big thanks
