iTunes Converting music

I have been given quite a bit of music from my mates iTunes. How can i convert the music to MP3 etc?

dBpoweramp Music Converter (with m4a & mp4 & Apple Lossless codec) in the Audio Tools (CD Ripping/Recording/Editing etc) section should do this for you.

I also think you can do this from within iTunes.

This most likely wont work with DRM protected files but works wonders otherwise
