I used some software that I don't remember the name of the other day, to download cover art for almost all of my music. The images are stored as cover.jpg in the same folders as the music tracks. However, these images don't appear in iTunes even after reloading the whole library.

Does anyone happen to know what to do with the images so that iTunes will pick up the cover art when adding?

Cheers

I don't believe there's a way of doing it. Just import your tracks "file, add folder" and browse to the parent folder where all your music is. Then when all your music is added add the album art by:
1) Highlighting the first track of an album
2) hold down shift and click on the last track of the album
3) Right click in the blue area and click "edit info"
4) click on the album art field and browse to the pic and add
5) repeat till finished
OR..
Just use iTunes 7 and it downloads album art automatically :p It's all high quality and high res (600x600) :) It's the artwork off iTms :)

hmm thats a bit rubbish. Don't much fancy doing that nearly a thousand times. Don't really want to sign up for an itms account either.

Next question, any other music players which have similar interface to itunes, supports DAAP sharing and will load my cover art?

Um, whats the problem entering details? this is with Apple, they are pretty darn safe. Else you would have heard a lot about it...

If you're paranoid about giving them your details there is always programs like this which get the artwork off amazon. I haven't tried it with the latest version of iTunes though since it's built in now.
