itunes crashes when i plug phone in?

I'm running latest version (8.1) and when i plug my iphone in, itunes freezes, when i unplug my phone it unfreezes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and its still the same, i tried diagnostics in help menu without phone plugged in and it crashes, the last version worked fine and even this version when i first updated it.

seems to have sorted itself out now, just updated my iphone to 2.2.1 (hopefully get my contacts list back on audi bluetooth now).

However, i might be being dumb here, i've only ever uploaded music to my iphone when i first got it back in august, i want to upload more albums from my laptop but i cannot work out how to put music onto my iphone without losing what i've already got on my iphone, is there a way?

in itunes tell it you want to manually manage your music.

I've done that and when i press apply it says my iphone is synced with another library (main pc i am guessing), do i want to erase this iphone and sync with his library. Clearly i don't as there's a song on my iphone which i don't want to lose, it was on my old pc and i cannot get it back

. That and i'm happy with the playlist i have on there already, i jus wan to add a few dj mixes.
