iTunes driving me up the wall

My iTunes seems to be having a very annoying semi-random error. If I'm changing playlists, it will often start glitching visually. I have a dual monitor setup, and it will suddenly appear on both monitors, but only half so, with bits missing and other random stuff. To work around I have to try and minimise it a few times and then it goes away. Sometimes I just have to close the app.

I tried getting a screenshot, but it wouldn't let me do it. Instead, I took a photo so you could see.

Any idea how I can fix this? I've just done a completely fresh install of XP, and it was doing it before the format.

If I can't fix this I'll have to find an alternative music+iPod manager, as this is driving me mad!

Any suggestions for fixes, or alternatives to iTunes?

Thanks!

Thanks, I'll look in to those.

Funnily enough I was just trying to find something that coincided with the beginning of this nightmare.. and I thought, maybe the Genius sidebar? I've disabled it and the performance of the whole of iTunes has increased. Hopefully it will fix it! :p

It wound me up so much yesterday I hit my fist on the keyboard.. smashing both legs :(

I'm certainly open to alternatives.. as long as they are actually better than iTunes. Despite its faults (and this one nearly caused me to go schitzo!), it does a good job of managing my music and giving me access to it.. as long as I stick with iTunes, that is. Just looking at the directory structure for my music files, and it's total pants :(

I despise itunes with a passion and I don't even have an ipod. Just wrestling with it for a while on a computer-illiterate friends PC drove me to distraction. Download and deploy Anapod Explorer instead.
