I have reinstalled and redownloaded from itunes website ect ive had the same problem on both old and new pc's. How do i fix this problem?

thanks.

Check programme files for Itune's and see if you have a file named CDconfiguration.
I had the same problem, downloaded and installed the gear software and copied the
above file form my laptop.

Laptop was ruuning Vista 32bit & my desktop was running Vista 64bit.

hey thanks for the help guys. i did try get the older version but then it tells you to update constantly and i thought there must be another awy. I dont understand how they could make it so this happens though!

Ill try what you said tomorrow when ive got time. thanks for the help :)

Do you have the CDconfiguration file in: Program File (x86) > Itunes

There is also a new version out 7.6! not sure if you have got this or not

I had this problem with running iTunes 7.5 on Vista 64.

When I upgraded to iTunes 7.6 the problem was fixed. The one thing to make sure is that you download the correct version of iTunes 7.6 if you are using Vista 64, as the first one that auto downloaded was the 32 bit and that still has the problem.

To download the 64 bit version, make sure you use Internet Explorer and not firefox as firefox doesn't download the correct version.

Hope that helps
