Right we set up the ipod mini and itunes a while ago, my gf imported a load of cds and was quite happy. Now we've come to the point of changing the playlist, how the bloody hell do we do it?

We've tried to delete the songs by unticking them in the main library, plug in the ipod and the songs are still there. Its wrecking my noggin.. Are we missing something really obvious here?

Any ideas?

or.... you could keep all the songs and create a playlist within the ipod, so all the songs are there but your favs are in a playlist on the main menu.

Cheers for all the help mate, but i cleared all the songs from the playlist and moved the itunes folder out. Updated the software to the newest version. According to the itunes it has no music, but on the ipod the song names are still there

Its just ran right through the full 338 trying to play one. How do we get rid of those ?

right that was fun, completely reinstalled itunes and im just updating to itunes 6. Set the ipod back to the factory settings, what a pain in the ass that was.

Big thanks to neon for trying to sort it out via the joy that is msn messenger.

Im actually scared to put any songs back on the ******* thing now lol :D

Jesus, just set the damn thing to manual. So much easier less faffing around when it's just treated like any old playlist ;)

Agreed.

You can add and delete what you want and make whatever playlists you want.
Syncing to your PC is just plain wrong.

To be honest, we didnt know we had. We just installed the software and stuck some songs on, we'll be much more careful next time. That took us around 3 hours of messing about lol
