Hi ya fellas,

A friend of mine has bought a workstation for his home, he's going to install i-tunes and wants to set up his current i-tunes library from his laptop to this.

Whats the best way possible for him to do it ??

I've not tried it myself so i'm not 100% and i dont want to wipe everything off.

All replies appreciated :D

Cheers

Steve

Not sure if theres a better way but copy the location of all the music and put it in exactly the same place on the new computer and copy the itunes directory from the My music folder worked for me otherwise just copy the music and "add directory" then search for TidyPlaylist on google complie the download and use that.

I don't really know how it works, but i've got iTunes on several computers and they all recognise all of my songs on my ipod without me having to configure it at all ;\

You can't copy songs off it anyway, but i might be missing the point.

He just wants the same on his new desktop as he's currently got on his laptop.

He's only got a 4gb ipod and around 10gb worth of songs in his itunes library.
