Im slightly hung over today and itunes isn't helping my head very much.
I lost a lot of my mp3s from not backing up and I have got a lot still on my Ipod. I want to get the songs off my ipod and put them back onto My computer. Now it saying I need to sync my ipod but then I will lose them all?

Any help please?

Try the latest Winamp. I know it's iPod compatible, but don't have one myself so can't really help further than that.

Open itues and open the preferences pane, so it doesn't sync when you plug your iPod in. In My Computer (make sure the hidden files are viewable in the folder options), open the iPod as a disk drive, go into the music folder and copy all the files across. They're named stupidly, but they're all there.

Enjoy.

Use that if you want to brick your ipod. (google it)

- Yamipod (Free)

I use Yamipod as it does not edit the itunes.DB made by itunes when copying songs to PC (unless you use it to ADD/DELETE/EDIT songs). Some software like Ephpod/Anapod requires a format to use their own Database file.
