Hi Guys

I don't post very often on these forums (my post count shows that!) as I normally find any information I need with the good old search function.

However this time I'm really stumped with an iTunes issue and would love some help if someone understands what I'm on about.

I'm finally getting round to sorting out my music on my PC and want a better way for iTunes to save my music. In the picture below you can see the 'iTunes Music' folder that I have and how it saves my current music. As an example it shows my 2Pac stuff and seems to categorise the songs by artist (and who 2Pac collaborated with on that particular song). Hence I have a fair few 2Pac folders there that only have one song in it etc.

This is annoying the hell out of me and I would rather have my music stored in that folder by album. Much neater and easier to arrange etc.

Am I being pedantic or reasonable?!?

So this is my cry for help!!

Cheers guys.

Marco

If you select a set of songs from the same album that you then right click and get info, then tick the box to say that they're part of a compilation. That has the effect of grouping the songs together then instead of having single songs in dozens of folders. I don't think it's quite what your after but it'll certainly be an improvement.

Al, yeah that option is ticked, however it doesn't seem to make much difference whether it is ticked or not!!

Dru, I tried that with some songs and it kind of works. However it placed the files in a new place. My Music -> iTunes -> iTunes Music -> Compilations -> Name of Album

It's getting somewhere I guess.

Any more help appreciated, cheers guys!
