Hello :)

I have recently asked about the apple TVs and leading on from that I have now built and setup my new server which I'm loving.

I can remote wake it from my iMac etc etc and I can share all my videos and music to iPad, iPhone, and apple TVs.

Now will they wake it up (mac server with iTunes open) when it's asleep or am I going to have to leave it on 24/7 and stop it sleeping?

I hope they can wake it up or it might end up coating me a few ££s.

Thanks!

I am honestly not sure.

But..........

I doubt it will wake the AppleTV as in sleep mode nothing works it not detectable by a
network or anything like that so if its not detectable then it wont wake.

I maybe wrong though m8

Ok well it deffinetly wakes using apple remote desktop as I've tried that but not sure about a iPad or apple tv.

Will have to just take the plunge and see, will leave the bugger on 24/7 if I have to but seems a waste of electricity really.

Thanks gents.

Well this deffinetly doesn't work for me on osx 10.7.4 and I can wake my mac mini using remote desktop no problem but home sharing disappears on the iPad, apple tv, iPhone so there's no way to wake it!

Anyone offer any help?

I've asked on apple support forum but no answer as of yet.
