hi all i have to do a reinstall of vista sometime today,when i reinstall itunes will all my songs including purchases on my ipod touch be transfered to my new itunes libary which will be empty of course as it will be a fresh install of windows?

When you first sync your iPod, iTunes should tell you that it's found purhased items on the pod and ask if you want to transfer them.
Saying 'yes' to this question is a good reply.
As for the other stuff, no I don't believe that iTunes will suck them off, it will delete them. You should backup your library and copy it back into iTunes when you rebuild/reload.
