iTunes is annoying me!

Whenever i import music into iTunes it makes two copies of each song! The second song seems to point to the same directory, but the files have the number 1 on the end. These files dont even exist!

did u copy over your music into one folder and then let itunes reorganise your music collection? That might take duplicates - im really not sure though

The (1) at the end of the file simply refers to the fact that it's a duplicate of a another file of the same name.

Try this, go to;

# View: Show Duplicates

Just remove all the duplicates and tell iTunes to stop organising your files / folders.
