itunes is terrible!

A question which is sort of unrelated but I have some Blu-Rays which have a data version of the film too, can I drag that off the disk and stick it in my iTunes library?

Encode it using Handbrake if it won't play. Depends on the disk though, some specifically state .M4v / Apple certification on the box, so it's simply drag and drop.

Anyway.. Never had any problems with iTunes. Ripped all my music, and set it to "convert to 128 AAC" when I sync my phone, so I can keep all my music on me (albeit lower quality) :)

I love it how you can't delete your music from your iDevice sufficiently.

Hand-pick 200+ songs from various different albums/artists, create your custom playlists how you like your music to be organised. Get bored of a playlist, then try and remove the songs within that playlist from your iDevice. Good luck with it, it's gonna take you ages searching for each individual song!

Playlists should work like folders. What benefit is there in not doing it this way?!!!!!! OMG.

I've used it for 4.5 years now on Windows and while it's not amazing it's not bad considering what all functionality has been bolted onto it. My biggest gripe is using it to sync apps to my numerous iOS devices - the interface is so clunky and laggy it's a pain to use, most of the time I just download them directly on the device. :p

I used to use Foobar but got sick of maintaining libraries for various applications so just use iTunes for everything now.

It's never deleted music on me or done anything crazy like that, but then, I always set my devices to manual sync as you could easily lose music when done automatically. Clearly those with such big issues with it, especially over such a long period of time are really what's at fault. It's crashed twice in those 4.5 years I've had it and both of those were in iTunes 10.
