Hi

I am a complete Itunes n00b, dont really like it but as i have an ipod i dont have a lot of choice :p

I have my libary of songs (my music) which itunes converted the other day and now all of my songs are listed within itunes .... This is good and not an issue BUT for some reason in my song list it has every song twice. When i try to sync my ipod or evan make a playlist this is a huge pain in the arse as i dont want 2 of each song on my bloody ipod ...

Im sure its me being a twit but would really appreciate some help

Ta sam

did you have any /m3u or playlists transferred over, I may be wrong but if you add the songs and the playlist as well it will potnetially duplicate.

Hi

I am looking through my music folder and i cant find any duplicate folders or playlists :s All my albums sit in there own folder and then there is a mass of other songs ...

Its not as if i just have 2 of some songs, every single song is duplicated .... The odd thing is it did this before and i just gave up and last week i reformatted and its done it again

:|

How can i delete my itunes libary, have a good old clearout through my music and then get it to research again ?

Thanks

In Itunes select "Show duplicates" in the file menu. Delete every other thing.

Alternatively, delete everything in your library (just select every album in the album view and delete them) and then tell it to rescan the mp3 folder and see what happens.

How do i rescan my libary ?

I have wiped itunes had a clean out of my music folder and now im about to rescan (well once i know how haha)

Tnx
